Connect an existing Meraki Network to a Location

Connecting a Meraki network to a specific location in Pollux is an essential step in managing your IT infrastructure effectively. Follow these steps to complete the process.

Steps to Connect an existing Meraki Network to a Location:

Step 1: Navigate to the Meraki Networks Overview

In the sidebar, go to Meraki → Network. This section provides an overview of all networks within your Meraki organization.

Step 2: Locate the Desired Network

Use the search bar (magnifying glass icon) or the filter buttons to find the network you want to connect to a location.

TIP

Filters are particularly useful if you manage multiple networks within the same organization.

Step 3: Click the Connect Button

In the table, find the desired network and click the Connect button. A new window will open.

Step 4: Select the Target Location

From the dropdown menu, choose the location you want to associate with the network.

  • If you don’t see your location listed, use the search bar to find it by name.
  • IMPORTANT: Ensure the location has already been created in the system before attempting to connect a network. For instructions on how to create a new location, see Add a New Location.

TIP

Double-check that the selected location matches the intended network to avoid misconfigurations.

Step 5: Submit the Connection

Click the Submit button to finalize the connection. Your network is now successfully linked to the chosen location.

TIP

DID YOU KNOW? This connection allows you to manage and monitor network activity directly within the context of its assigned location.
